Introduction

Ashton Manor Residential Home is situated in the heart of the charming seaside town of Bognor Regis in West Sussex. Chichester is just 6 miles away and both Brighton and Portsmouth are also within easy reach.

The home is just a few minutes stroll from the sea. The beach, shops, banks, post office, library, parish church and other amenities are also all within easy walking distance.

Activities & Social

A wide range of activities is organised for residents, including quizzes, bingo, reminiscence therapy, beauty treatments, visits from outside entertainers and (weather permitting) trips to the sea. We also encourage residents wherever possible to maintain their existing social, cultural, religious and recreational interests on moving to the home.

We operate an open visiting policy and visiting friends and relatives of all ages are always made welcome.

Accommodation

Ashton Manor Residential Home is designed primarily for care of dementia adults over the age of 65 and contains 24 rooms, all of which are en-suite. The home has a small enclosed garden which is secure, enabling residents to enjoy the environment without risk to their safety.

The physical environment is designed for the convenience and comfort of residents. Buildings and grounds are managed and maintained in a safe and practical condition and we take particular care to ensure that public areas such as the lounges and dining room are homely, comfortable and welcoming.

Bedrooms are designed to be both comfortable and safe. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with pictures, small items of furniture or ornaments. In some instances it may be possible to accommodate a small pet, such as a cat.

Person Centred Approach

Residents are the focal point of our service provision. We ensure that they are involved in the planning and delivery of services as far as is practical, promoting their right to dignity, privacy, choice and independence.

Specialist equipment can be made available to enhance comfort and independence. A GP will visit as needed on a same-day basis and other healthcare services can be accessed as needed. In addition other services including dentist, optician, hairdresser and chiropodist are available to residents at the home.
