Introduction

Linden House is situated in a beautifully quiet and peaceful residential area of Epsom in Surrey, just a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The renowned Epsom Downs racecourse is a 5 minute drive away. Epsom town centre boasts the full range of high street shops plus department stores, a cinema, theatre and several restaurants and cafes.

Activities & Social

At Linden House residents can enjoy a wide variety of entertainments and activities, co-ordinated by our in-house activities organiser, in line with their preferences, interests and needs. We are also happy to arrange one-to-one activities for residents.

We hold parties every few weeks with musical entertainers. There are organised outings to cinemas, theatres and local shops, cafes and bars. In the summer (weather permitting) we organise barbecues and garden parties in the spacious garden. For keen readers, a mobile library service with a stock of large-print books visits regularly and newspapers and magazines can be delivered daily.

We operate an open visiting policy and visiting friends and relatives of all ages are always made welcome.

Accommodation

Linden House is engaged in a major refurbishment project which will significantly enhance the facilities and ambience of this well-located and elegant home.

The home can accommodate up to 32 residents in single bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate a couple or two friends. All bedrooms have private toilet and washing facilities and several have direct access to a sunny garden. A call-bell service is provided to all bedrooms and private telephones can be installed if requested. Residents are encouraged to bring with them small items of furniture, pictures and ornaments to personalise their rooms and help them feel more at home.

Three spacious lounges/sitting areas and two dining rooms are all being redecorated and refurnished to a high standard, delivering a truly elegant living environment. A passenger lift has been installed to allow easy access about the building to all residents and a second lift is due for installation (late 2010).

Person Centred Approach

Residents are the focal point of our service provision. We ensure that they are fully involved in the planning and delivery of services, promoting their right to dignity, privacy, choice and independence.

In addition to the home's dedicated team of qualified, caring staff, residents can access the full range of healthcare and wellbeing services who will visit the home, including GP, district and specialist nurses, dietician, physiotherapist, psychiatric services, dental, optical, chiropodist and hairdressing services.

Local clergy are also happy to visit Linden House to conduct church services where requested.
